Altice could reportedly sell off some press titles

facade_campus_sfr_maxime_dufour__photographies_3Altice-owned French service provider SFR could spin off or sell part of the portfolio of press titles that it acquired in April as part of the new structure put in place by its parent group, according to French financial daily Les Echos.

Altice CEO Michel Combes told the paper that the group could reorganise its press portfolio eith8er by acquisitions or sales. While the group is likely to retain mass-market news titles L’Express and Libération, it could sell off its professional and trade titles, according to Les Echos.

Most of the trade titles belonged to the NewsCo group of Marc Laufer that the latter sold to Altice last year. Laufer quit his role as CEO of Altice Media Group in October.
