Free adds Canal+ multiscreen offering to bundle

myCanal FreeFrench service provider Free has added Canal+’s multiscreen TV service myCanal to its offering, complementing the recent launch of the TV by Canal Panorama service.

Free will make myCanal available to Freebox Revolution customers who have signed up to the TV by Canal Panorama service. Users will be able to watch live channels, including services available on the country’s digital-terrestrial platform, and on-demand content on smartphones, tablets and computers. They will also be able to download content for offline viewing.

MyCanal can also be viewed on the TV screen via Airplay or Chromecast. The service includes a TV guide and personalised recommendations of content.

MyCanal includes access to over 100 live channels and more than 8,000 on-demand episodes and titles.

TV by Canal Panorama was launched by Canal+ to enable IPTV service providers to bundle Canal+ channels with their multi-play packages as part of a root and branch rethink of the Canal+ proposition, in order to extend the reach of the pay TV offering and reverse years of declining subscriber numbers.
