Sky updates Sky Kids app

Sky_Kids_appSky has updated the Sky Kids app with a number of new features, including ‘up next’ viewing and ‘just watched’.

The up next feature will prompt viewers to watch the next episode of a show, if it is available, after the previous one ends by pressing play.

Just watched is designed to let kids continue watching and pick up where they last left off, or see what they’ve recently been watching in the home screen of the app.

New ‘Buddy World Profiles’ lets users customise their Sky Buddy avatar with new clothes and hairstyles.

A ‘sleep mode’ is also due to roll out, designed to provide “peace of mind around time spent watching TV on devices”.

In addition, Sky said that kids show Morph will be back on screens with new and exclusive episodes and a series of movie-making tutorials this October half term.

“The Sky Kids app has gone from strength to strength since it launched in March,” said Sky’s head of kids content, Lucy Murphy.

“You’ll see more brand new and exclusive shows and enhancements to the app, including Profile Sleep Mode, further personalisation of Buddy World profiles and even more in the future.”
