MP & Silva, which owns, manages and distributes sports rights globally, has appointed sports industry veteran Jochen Lösch as its new CEO.

Lösch has almost 20 years sports industry experience, most recently as president of international business at Traffic Sports Marketing.

Previously he worked as  Sportfive’s vice-president of TV rights, before which he was managing director for Sportfive Americas.

Lösch replaces previous CEO Marco Auletta, who announced in September that he was resigning his position and would continue with new business ventures.

MP & Silva chairman, Larry Feng, said that Lösch’s experience of building strong international profiles for sports properties “will be a huge asset to the company”.

Lösch said: “I am delighted to join MP & Silva as CEO. After having spoken to the Board about their ambitions, it is clear that this is an exciting time to be joining MP & Silva, a time of rapid growth and increasing international success.”
