KPN said the content and design of the app had been overhauled, making the service easier to use based on customer feedback.
The new version of the app enables KPN TV customer to view content on-demand from multiple screens, view movies and series on-demand and schedule recordings remotely.
In addition to Fox Sports, the app now includes access to KPN’s Kidspakket and Pluspakket packages. KPN secured a deal to distribute Fox Sports in August after a high-profile dispute between the pair over carriage terms. The disagreement saw KPN lose a court case against Fox Entertainment Group after it challenged Fox’s right to charge it more than rival providers for coverage of Dutch top-tier football.
The smartphone version of the app is available from today for Android and iOS devices, while a version for Android and iOS tablets will be made available from the end of November.
