INsight TV, the company behind UHD TV service TV Entertainment Reality Network (TERN), has commissioned what it says is the first sports reality programme to be filmed in the HDR format.
The show, The 30//10 Challenge, is described as an adventure stunt series that follows action sport athletes Sam Hardy and Nathan Jones on their journey to create and complete ten challenges over the course of 30 days.
Joining the pair is wingsuit pilot and cameraman Espen Fadness, who will attempt to capture the action with a camera mounted in his helmet.
The challenges range from the ‘Human Target’ where the pair will attempt to hit targets just metres from the ground traveling at almost 200km/h, to ‘Hike/Climb/BASE in a day’ where they are challenged to complete a mountain hike, a difficult rock climb and BASE jump.
The show is produced by Los Angeles-based production outfit The Go Big Project. The company, which specializes in adventure reality programming and UHD content, is currently creating 50 hours of Ultra HD 50P content for INsight TV.
Insight TV will be exhibiting at next week’s MIPCOM at stand R8-C15/Experience Le Grand Hotel.
