Youth media brand Trace has partnered with Wanachi-group owned Zuku to distribute the Trace Mziki and Trace Gospel channels in East Africa.

Trace Mziki is an East African music channel made in Swahili and English, while Trace Gospel showcases gospel music from East Africa and the rest of the world.

“African music landscape is so rich and diverse that it deserves localised or thematic music channels to meet the audience requirements,” said Trace co-founder and CEO, Olivier Laouchez.

“We are very proud of these two launches on Zuku that has been a long term distribution partner of Trace channels.”

Zuku a TV operator and triple play brand that operates in countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia.

Trace launched the channels in August, along with Trace Africa, targeting the southern part of the continent.
