TVE names new acquisitions boss

Spanish public broadcaster TVE has confirmed the appointment of Milagros Mayi as director of acquisitions.

This comes after the RTVE board of directors approved the appointment in May.

Last year, DTVE”s sister title TBI reported that Juan Ignacio Jiménez Gargantilla had left the acquisitions chief post.

The new incumbent has been with TVE, the TV division of RTVE, since 1988. She has worked in sales in the film, television programme and music publishing wings.

As head of sales, Mayi has been responsible for sales of TVE content, film rights, soundtracks and international catalogue sales.
