Sharri Berg has been named as chief operating officer of news and operations at Fox Television Stations Group in the US, reporting to Fox Television Stations CEO and newly appointed Fox News co-president Jack Abernethy.
Berg has previously worked in a dual capacity for Fox’s cable news and broadcast divisions, serving as SVP, news operations and services across both.
Her promotion follows the naming of Abernethy and Fox Television Stations senior EVP Bill Shine as co-presidents of Fox News in the wake of Roger Ailes’ departure.
A Fox veteran, Berg helped create Fox News 20 years ago.
“Over the past 11 years with Fox Television Stations, Sharri has been an invaluable member of our executive team and has created a robust, efficient and powerful network of shared resources with Fox News. She is a unique leader whose innovative and strategic management approach will ensure that the stations, as well as Fox News, continue to develop the next generation of journalists,” said Abernethy.
