Moscow-based Russian cable operator Akado has named Mikhail Medrish as director of operations for Komkor, the operator’s consumer-facing brand.
Medrish previously headed the Internet Support Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring the development of the internet in Russia. Prior to taking on that role in 2014 he served as technical director for major internet projects in Russia and was chairman of Russia’s Internet Coordination Centre.
Akado/Komkor CEO Sergey Nazarov said that the quality of its network operations was a priority for the company and that the appointment of Medrish would strengthen its efforts in this area.
