Sky is to simulcast its Soccer Saturday show across six channels and digital outlets including Facebook and YouTube tomorrow to heighten awareness of its coverage of the kick off of the English Premier League football season.
In addition to its regular broadcast on the Sky Sports News HQ and Sky Sports 1 channels, the show will be air from 15:00 on Sky 1, Pick TV, skysports.com, and for the first time, on Sky Sports’ Facebook and YouTube pages.
For this season, Sky Sports customers will be able to use an expanded mobile clips service delivered by the Sky Sports Football Score Centre app to watch all the goals from Saturday’s matches on their mobile devices from 17:15.
Sky Sports viewers can also watch extended match highlights of all Saturday’s matches on demand from midnight.
Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling said: “Last season showed us anything can happen in the Premier League and the opening day is always full of surprises, so we’re delighted to open up our coverage of Soccer Saturday to even more people across our channels and online. There’s a terrific set of matches scheduled on the opening day of the season including champions Leicester City away to new boys Hull and Ronald Koeman’s first game in charge of Everton at home to Tottenham. Soccer Saturday will be the perfect way to follow every twist and turn.”
