Sky in Germany is adding new apps from public broadcasters ARTE and ZDF to its Roku-powered Sky Online TV – now dubbed Sky Ticket – box.
The ARTE app will let viewers watch documentaries, programmes and concerts for up to 90 days after their TV broadcast, while the ZDF will give access to some 35,000 videos and programme highlights.
The free apps join the likes of Red Bull TV, Vevo, GoPro and Youtube on the device – which is the equivalent of Sky’s Now TV box in the UK.
Sky Online TV box users can also use the device to access Sky Germany’s over the top service, Sky Ticket, subscribing to sports, entertainment or movie packages for a monthly fee. Daily and weekly sport pack fees are also available.
