Anime-focused subscription streaming service, FunimationNow, has launched on Amazon Fire TV devices in the UK and US.
FunimationNow subscribers can watch anime TV series and movies, both subbed and dubbed, in ad-free HD streaming via the Amazon streaming boxes and sticks.
“This is another milestone in our promise to deliver to anime fans a high-quality, immersive, and seamless streaming experience regardless of platform or device,” said Funimation chief operating officer, Mike DuBoise.
FunimationNow launched in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. In March the company launched a suite of FunimationNow apps for mobile devices with versions for iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle Fire and Windows 10 devices.
A fully redesigned version of the FunimationNow website is due to go live in September, followed by the launches of redesigned FunimationNow console apps for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Roku.
