Turner Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has appointed Channel 4 executive Pedro Cosa to fill a newly created analytics role.
Cosa is set to join in September as vice president of insights and analytics, reporting to Turner EMEA president, Giorgio Stock.
He will join from UK broadcaster Channel 4, where he has worked as deputy head of viewer insights and analytics since 2012, and will help to evolve Turner into a “more consumer-centric, data-driven media company”.
Commenting on the hire, Stock said the new role recognises Turner’s aim of “putting the consumer at the heart of every decision we make”.
“Understanding our audiences more deeply helps us give them even more personalised and engaging user experiences.”
Cosa will manage the implementation of cross-platform business intelligence to support Turner’s expansion of kids and other branded digital assets. He will also collaborate with international CNN data insights to maximise all insights across all of Turner’s brands and consumers.
Prior to joining Channel 4 in 2012, Cosa spent nine years at Vodafone, most recently as global principal of consumer insights and planning.
