Discovery makes Olympic appointments in Italy

Discovery Italia has named Luigi Filippo Ecuba as senior director-sport, and has hired Luca Corsolini as Olympic senior consultant.

Ecuba, who will be based in Milan, reports to Alessandrod Araimo, SVP and chief operating officer, Discovery southern Europe. He will be carged with leading Discovery’s sports strategy in Itgaly, Spain and Portugal. Ecuba was previously director of the content proposition, with a focus on sport, at Sky Deutschland’s marketing and product strategy division.

Corsolini, who has worked for Sky Italia as a journalist and Olympic content coordinator, and has also worked as head of communication at Adidas Italia. Corsolini will advise Discovery on the four Olympic Games that Eurosport will broadcast in Italy between 2018 and 2024.
