Under the terms of the deal between the pair, Entertain for Hospitals will now include up to seven Sky channels. Hospitals, clinics and retirement homes that subscribe to the service will be able to select up to seven channels from the pay TV operator, including sports, entertainment, movie and factual offerings.
Entertain for Hospitals serves up TV for around 4,000 hospital beds in Germany, with plans to expand the offering further.
Telekom Healthcare Solutions sales and marketing director Arndt Lorenz said the deal could help provide hospitals with a competitive advantage by enabling them to provide an attractive entertainment offering.
