Conax to showcase Contego-as-a-Service

Content security company Conax will use its presence at ANGA Com to highlight its Contego-as-a-Service cloud-based content protection service.

The, modular offering includes the functionality of the flagship Conax Contego unified security platform, supporting DVB, IPTV and OTT plus all key DRM technologies, according to Conax.

Contego-as-a-Service is designed to provide pay TV platforms with a business model for supporting future growth by featuring low capital expenditure, reduced operational complexity, scalability and rapid deployment of new features such as secure TV everywhere and streamlined content delivery, Conax said.

At ANGA COM, Conax will also feature demonstrations of its Conax GO Live entry-level live streaming solution including its newest features such as analytics, AirPlay and Chromecast support. Conax will also demonstrate its multi-DRM back-end throughout the show.

Also at ANGA COM, Conax will highlight Conax Contego’s support for multiple DRM technologies.

The company will also showcase Conax GO Live. This is an entry level solution for reducing the complexity, time-to-market and barriers to an operator launching an OTT service, according to the company. Conax GO Live comprises a live streaming solution for iOS and Android devices now available with Chromecast and AirPlay support and a monitoring system to analyze customers’ viewing patterns using analytics.

The company will also highlight its support for Common Encryption and MPEG DASH.
