GVIDI, Deutsche Mailbox, We-TV and EBS have come together to form the Program Metadata Alliance.
The alliance aims to deliver the “most accurate EPG metadata to TV providers all over Europe”, updating more than 2,500 EPG channels throughout the day
“The Program Metadata Alliance will be one of the most reliable and up-to-date EPG metadata sources for TV providers all over Europe,” said the members in a statement.
Netherlands-based Gvidi, Germany’s Deutsche Mailbox, France-based We-TV and UK-based EBS are all EPG data providers in their respective home markets and described the alliance as a “natural fit”.
“The EPG content from the alliance, includes accurate and localised program descriptions, and images for over 2,500 channels and is further enriched by online sources throughout the day,” said the alliance.
“This ensures the latest information is made available to customers, enabling them to deliver a superior content discovery experience to their end-users.”
