Tricolor TV adds KVN comedy channel

Russian pay TV provider Tricolor TV has added new comedy channel KVN TV to its programming line-up.

Tricolor struck a deal with Gazprom Media-owned Red Media to include the channel in its offering. KVN TV is a joint venture between Red Media and production group AMIK.

The channel will be included in Tricolor TV’s basic offering. The operator already offers 25 channels from Red Media in its packages, spanning sports, lifestyle and entertainment genres.

The channel will air the KVN competition, a long-running comedy phenomenon in Russia that sees teams from across the country compete in developing sketches and comedy routines through a number of leagues in front of a live audience and an panel of judges.
