Mediapro begins broadcasting Gol

Catalan broadcaster Mediapro has begun broadcasting its new free-to-air sports channel Gol.

The channel, which takes the digital-terrestrial frequency previously occupied by Veo TV, owned by Unidad Editorial, will offer a mix of football, tennis, athletics, motorsports, table tennis, basketball, wresting and extreme sports.

The channel is kicking off with coverage of the under-18s football world championship, the DTM German motorsports event and European beach volleyball.
