Arris to demo IP and DOCSIS 3.1 technology

Arris will demonstrate its latest technology for delivering new IP services at ANGA COM, including the latest additions to its portfolio of DOCSIS 3.1 devices.

These include the new Touchstone TG3472 broadband gateway, which is designed to provide premium, video-grade WiFi performance.

The DOCSIS 3.1 capable UCAM-2 offers increases in both DOCSIS 3.0 upstream channel capacity per service group and the ability to support DOCSIS 3.1 in the upstream.

Elswhere, Arris will make the first live European demos of its high-density 10G EPON Fiber Module, showing multi-gigabit symmetrical service delivery with the E6000 chassis.

The Router Switch Module 2 (RSM-2) meanwhile increases the E6000 network-side interface capacity and its packet forwarding capacity. Arris says this prepares the E6000 platform for future bandwidth growth.

Arris will also demonstrate new innovations relating to: video delivery over WiFi around the home; next-generation set-tops, software platforms, and set-top function virtualisation; and all-IP video delivery including the converged video headend.

Arris will be exhibiting at ANGA COM in hall 10.2, stand E21
