Africanews network goes live

Euronews’ sister TV channel, Africanews, has gone live in 33 countries across sub-Saharan Africa. 

The 100% Euronews-owned network is available in 7.3 million homes from launch. The channel is broadcast via the SES 4 and SES 5 satellites and distributed by operators across the region.

News of the launch date was announced a press conference at MIPTV in Cannes earlier this month. The Africanews news website has been live since January.
