Former Sky News chief joins Ofcom content board

Ofcom has appointed former Sky News chief Nick Pollard to its content board – the body within the regulator that has advisory responsibility for content issues, including the regulation of TV, radio and VoD services.

Pollard, a former BBC and ITN journalist and producer, served as head of Sky News until 2009, when he joined Services Sound and Vision Corporation (SSVC), the British armed forces broadcasting organisation, as CEO.
Pollard joins Ofcom’s content board on a three-year term.
