A+E Networks names ad sales chief

A+E Networks UK has named Luke Duffy as vice-president, ad sales, tasked with driving UK and international sales growth.

Duffy, who will head A+E Networks’ UK-based sales team, work across the History, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and H2 brands in the UK and international markets, will join A+E on March 14.  He was previously head of trading at Viacom-owned terrestrial channel Channel 5.

Duffy will manage current and future relationships with A+E Networks’ sales houses including Sky Media, RTL Netherlands, DSTV Media Sales in Africa, Polsat Media in Poland and Transfer in Belgium.  He will also take responsibility for pan-regional ad sales campaigns.

Duffy will report to Nicolas Eglau, chief operating officer at A+E Networks UK, and general manager, Nordics, the Benelux and CEEMEA.

Eglau, said: “This is a key appointment for A+E Networks UK. Ad sales in all forms will be driving the growth of our company in the future. Luke’s extensive experience, both in agency and with a free-to-air broadcaster, will be very valuable in helping us execute this strategy across all markets.”
