German cable operator Tele Columbus has launched a Community WLAN offering, giving Tele Columbus and Primacom subscribers the ability to access the web from up to 50,000 access points across the footprint of both companies.
The service is available to subscribers at no extra cost, providing users with access speeds of up to 10Mbps with no time or volume restrictions. Users can access the web via three different devices.
Tele Columbus acquired Primacom last year.
Chief marketing officer Stefan Beberweil said that the new offering provided “significant value for our customers”, giving then additional mobile internet options.
