Vodafone Portugal has launched what it describes as its first portable TV box, giving its TV Net Voz customers the ability to view its service on multiple TVs in the home and anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection.
The small form-factor device enables users to access the same TV service that Vodafone already makes available via devices including tablets, smartphones and its HD projector, another unusual TV Everywhere initiative launched last year that enables viewers to watch TV services in HD quality against a screen or wall. The company also recently launched a version of its TV service for viewing on smartwatches.
Vodafone said that the latest launch was designed to be complementary to a traditional TV box and to reinforce its commitment to provide the most complete multiscreen offering in the market.
