Wellbeing Network, a new channel created by Zonevision founder Chris Wronski, has launched on the Sky platform in the UK.

Wellbeing Network, which focuses on health and wellbeing, was launched in Poland alongside a shop and online health destination in December. The channel is helmed by Wronksi as CEO and digital media specialist and former Disney executive Andrea Dinnick as managing director.

Wellbeing Network has tapped media services outfit Babcock to provide playout and distribution for its UK launch. The channel is played out from Babcock’s central London facility with ingest and the addition of dynamic graphics, as well as multiplexing, uplinking, satellite capacity and archive storage as part of a three year package.

“”While keen to launch our TV channel as quickly as possible we also needed to protect our respected brand image so it was important that we appoint a technical provider with the expertise and experience to hit the ground running and that could guarantee a successful launch on time and on budget. Babcock came highly recommended and has provided us with invaluable support. Their team has liaised with Sky on our behalf, and visited us several times to explain all our technical options so that we could confidently make the right decisions. With a real understanding of what we want to achieve they have drilled down into the detail to ensure their solution meets our business requirements precisely,” said Wronski.
