Free-to-air satellite platform Freesat has named Jennifer Elworthy as director of marketing and communications overseeing the development and execution of Freesat’s marketing strategy
Elworthy joined Freesat in 2013 as head of marketing and communications and played a key role in delivering Freesat’s marketing initiatives including the continued growth of Freetime, the company’s connected TV offering.
In her new role she succeeds Paul Gishan, who is leaving to join employee benefits car company Tusker as CMO.
Freesat managing director Alistair Thom said: “I’m thrilled to promote Jennifer to her new role. Over the past three years she has shown herself to be a true advocate of the brand and a natural strategic thinker. With a significant shift in the way we position our offering having taken place, most notably through Freetime, Jennifer will continue to shape and drive our connected offering.”
Elworthy said: “I’m really excited to take on this new role at Freesat. It’s an important time in our company’s growth as we shift focus and put Freetime at the front and centre of marketing, and I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge.”
