Online video aggregator Vimeo has released version 2.0 of its app for Android, which the company says represents a complete rebuild of the app after a number of years of “hibernation”.
The app comes with a new user interface and a revamped upload function that enables content creators to control privacy on video while uploading from Android, including password protection, selecting who can view the video, according to Vimeo.
The app also includes a new Android Vimeo player to enable plays, likes, and comments that are visible at a glance and to ensure that users can follow other other video creators, according to the company. The app also brings Vimeo’s editorial curation to mobile devices.
