The launch enables Apple TV users the ability to watch over 85 free-to-view TV channels within a single app.
TVPlayer Plus, the low-cost pay TV service from the same company, is also available, offering channels including Discovery Channel, TLC, Eurosport 1, History and Sony Movie Channel, with no contract, for £4.99 (€6.87) per month.
Current TVPlayer Plus subscribers who have signed up via their iPhone or iPad can access TVPlayer Plus on the new Apple TV at no extra charge.
Lewis Arthur, Operations Director of TVPlayer said, “The 4th generation Apple TV is something we and our viewers have been eagerly anticipating. TVPlayer is all about convenience: being able to watch the TV channels you love whenever you want, at home or on the go. We see the new Apple TV as a great new way for viewers to watch all of our channels. For iPhone and iPad users, TVPlayer’s free app is also available for viewing out of home.”
