Telecable, the Spanish regional cable operator owned by UK investment outfit Zegona, has launched a football-focused OTT TV offering that expands its reach beyond its home market of Asturias for the first time.
Veofutbol enables access to a range of Spanish and international football matches, including those of La Liga, The Spanish Cup, The Champions’ League, The Europa League and other European competitions.
The service will be available via PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones across the territory of Spain, the neighbouring regions of the Basque Country and Galicia, and Madrid.
“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Telecable and we already have 10,000 customers enjoying this reliable and easy-to-use service all over Spain. We expect to see that number grow significantly over time as football fans enjoy the convenience of watching the big matches on their mobile devices, wherever they happen to be,” said Telecable CEO Alejandro Peon.
