Telefónica is launching Screen Fusión, an offer targeted at new and existing Movistar subscribers, that will see the operator offer a 32-inch TV with an integrated Movistar TV decoder free of charge to new Movistar Fusión Fibre customers taking its 300Mbps internet and TV package. A larger 40-inch model will be available for €120.
For existing customers, the 32-inch model will be available for €50 while the 40-inch model will cost €170.
The offer will launch on December 14. The move follows an announcement by Telefónica Spain president Luis Miguel Gilpérez in September that the telco was planning to offer TVs with integrated decoders as part of its plans to develop its Movistar+ service.
The TVs, provided by Samsung, include a Movistar+ app that emulates the functionality of an external decoder.
