Lithuania’s Teo names new converged management team

TEOTeliaSonera-owned Lithuanian service provider Teo has named a new joint management team for Teo and mobile sister service provider Omnitel as it seeks to develop converged offerings spanning mobile and fixed communications, internet, TV and IT services.

As previously announced in October, Kęstutis Šliužas will become the CEO of the two companies from January 1.

Norbertas Žioba has been named as head of the two companies’ B2C business. Žioba, who will join the new management team on December 18, was previously head of retail, marketing and sales at Maxima LT.

Andrius Šemeškevičius, who is presently the head of technology and IT at Teo, will become the head of technology across both companies. Andrius Byčkovas, currently CTO at Omnitel, will hold the position of head of competitive customer operations from January and will be responsible for the transformation programme of both businesses, implementation of strategic projects and improvement of operational efficiency. 

The position of chief financial officer will be taken by Laimonas Devyžis, who currently is CFO at Omnitel.

Petteri Ahonen has been appointed as head of B2B of the joint management team. He is currently the Head of B2B at Omnitel. Teo HR chief Ramūnas Bagdonas has been appointed as head of HR, while Audronė Mažeikaitė, former head of communications at Omnitel, will become head of corporate affairs. The position of head of legal affairs will be taken by Giedrė Kaminskaitė-Salters, who previously worked as Senior Adviser to the President of the Republic of Lithuania on the economy.  The position of the head of risk management will be taken by Vytautas Bučinskas, who currently is the Head of Risk Management Unit at Teo. Mantas Goštautas, who joined Teo this year from global business consulting company Hodgart Associates, will become the Head of Business Development.
