The study claims that pay TV adoption is 50% in Spain, 87% in Germany, 74% in the UK and 75% in France. Meanwhile, 33% of UK broadband households were found to have used the iPlayer online video service in the past 30 days.
The research also found that 9% of Western European broadband households own at least one smart home device and 57% own at least one internet-connected consumer electronic device.
“Service providers and OEMs continue to introduce new offerings in Europe, bringing new value propositions and driving increased adoption and future purchase intentions of smart home and connected CE devices,” said Stuart Sikes, president, Parks Associates.
