Liberty Global has announced plans to widely deploy Arris’ Touchstone TG2492 Gateway across its global footprint.
Liberty said that the TG2492 will deliver “high-speed broadband and advanced streaming video services”, with the device capable of delivering web speeds of up to 1Gbps using the latest 802.11ac WiFi technology.
“Our customers are streaming more content to more devices than ever before and therefore require the best in wireless performance,” said Liberty Global’s chief product officer, Doron Hacmon.
“The Touchstone platform delivers a best-in-class experience today while also providing us with the flexibility to introduce even more innovative services for our customers in the future.”
Arris’ senior vice president, EMEA, Steve McCaffery said: “Our flagship Touchstone TG2492 wireless gateway will enable Liberty to deliver best-in-class WiFi performance, faster speeds, and improved connectivity for an expanding number of consumer devices.”
