The apps which are available for Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera Arabic will provide breaking news alerts and special coverage notifications with a curated home screen which highlights top stories. The apps will provide 24-hour access to live video and background audio streaming with a personal newsfeed area for shows, topics and saved stories which can be shared on social media, according to Al Jazeera.

These apps complement our growing portfolio of digital products such as our Al Jazeera English Apple TV app that we launched last week and you will see a growing convergence in experiences in the future releases of our products.”
