UPC Czech Republic names acquisitions chief

Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Czech Republic has named Branko Gugleta as director of development and acquisitions.

Gugleta will be responsible for expanding the coverage of UPC’s network and the potential acquisition of new companies, reporting directly to CEO Frans-Willem de Kloet. He was previously marketing director at virtual mobile operator Tesco Mobile, responsible for the launch of the brand in the Czech Republic.

UPC Czech Republic has also named Marian Holy as director for corporate customers, responsible for all business-to-business sales. He was previously head of B2B marketing at O2 in the Czech Republic.

Finally, the oprator has appointed Jana Harel as HR, talent and staffing director, reporting to HR director Vladimira Chlandová. She was previously HR manager in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices.
