Eutelsat Communications’ first all-electric satellite, Eutelsat 115 West B, has been fully powered up and is now providing services to customers across the Americas.
The satellite has extended Eutelsat’s coverage of the Americas to Alaska and Canada in the north, Easter Island in the west and to Patagonia in the south, creating what Eutelsat claims is “a truly Pan-American footprint.”
“Both new and longstanding customers will benefit from this satellite’s exceptional performance for a broad range of services, and I am convinced that our commitment to innovation will continue to pay off in the Americas and beyond,” said Patricio Northland, CEO of Eutelsat Americas.
