Liberty Global-owned German cable operator Unitymedia has named Dieter Vorbeck as its new chief technology officer.
Vorbeck who will join the Unitymedia management board, replaces Frank Meywerk, who is to leave the company at his own request at the end of this year.
Vorbeck is currently vice-president of engineering with responsibility for network operators at the operator, whose networks span North-Rhine Westphalia, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. Before joining Liberty Global in 2010 he worked for companies including Vodafone, E-Plus and Telefónica.
