TeliaSonera technology chief leaves in restructuring move

Nordic service provider TeliaSonera is combining its commercial and technology divisions and Malin Frenning, current SVP in charge of group technology, is to leave the group.

Johan Dennelind, President and CEO, TeliaSonera.said that Frenning had been instrumental in turing the company into one of Europe’s leading operators and wished her well going forwards.

The search for a suitable candidate to head up both divisions as EVP ihas now started, according to TeliaSonera.

Separately, the company has named mil Nilsson has been appointed SVP and head of the company’s activities in the Eurasia region, following a decision by TeliaSonera to scale back its activities in Asia. Erik Hallberg, current EVP and head of Eurasia, will assume a new position within the group.

A new steering board with overall responsibility for the region has been set up under Dennelind.
