Netflix is in talks to adapt Kent Haruf novel Our Souls at Night as an original movie starring Jane Fonda and Robert Redford, according to Deadline.
The US site reported Netflix is “close to a deal” on Our Souls at Night, which would be the latest original film in the US-based streaming sites growing movie slate that also includes Beasts of No Nation, The Ridiculous Six and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend.
Redford is being lined up to star in and produce the Kent Haruf project, whose book was published posthumously this year.
Set in small-town Colorado, the book follows two older people who live alone in big houses and get together and reminisce about their lives.
American novelist Haruf passed away last year.
