SPB TV, a provider of end-to-end OTT TV, IPTV and mobile TV solutions, will unveil several technology advancements for mobile TV at this year’s IBC.
It will showcase: SPB TV Rosing, a TV platform for operators; SPB TV Home, a next-generation solution for in-home TV viewing; and SPB TV Advertising with unique in-stream detection and replacement.
SPB TV has also partnered with DTS to bring “immersive, cinematic sound to any mobile device”, with this technology also due to be showcased at IBC.
“This year, we bring a number of innovations that change the whole mobile TV experience for both operators and consumers, including selecting DTS to provide high-quality audio solutions”, said Kirill Filippov, CEO of SPB TV.
“Our new TV platform offers users instant access to live and on-demand content seamlessly flowing across time, location and device. Apart from impressive performance, graphics and connectivity, our new in-home TV viewing solution comes with an innovative remote control and personalisation features.”
In addition, SPB TV will present a solution for OTT TV ads that is designed to be a “one-stop shop,” combining a targeted approach, broadcast ad detection and in-stream ad replacement.
“SPB TV Advertising is a one-stop-shop that allows accurate substitution of the commercial broadcast based on the user’s location, gender and age. It can deliver narrowly targeted and even personal ads for highly-effective campaigns,” said SPB TV’s co-founder Sebastian-Justus Schmidt.
