Lattelecom launches permanent version of 360TV channel

Latvian telco Lattelecom has launched a permanent HD version of the 360TV pop-up channel it has periodically aired for special events.

The channel will air round the clock with a specific theme for each day of the week – movies on Monday, hosted by Marta Līne, sports on Tuesday with Gustavs Terzens, ‘ideas’ on Wednesday hosted by Jānis Palkavnieks, female interest programming on Thursday with Grēta Gorjučko, music programming on Friday with Toms Grēviņš, hobby-related programming on Saturday with Laura Jēkabsone and cultural programming on Sunday with Jānis Ozols. A nightly talk show, Domnīca, will air at 21:00.

Lattelecom first aird the channel to provide coverage of the l`atvian Song and Dance Festival in 2013 and has aired nine event channels since then.

Kaspar Ozolins, executive director of Media 360, the Lattelecom unit that operates 360TV, said that the channel was a “new concept” for the country and would encompass not only TV but the internet, with special non-linear content commissioned for the latter.
