Afrotainment to launch Oui TV on StarTimes platform

afrotainment ouiNew York-based Afrotainment Family of Channels is to launch its Oui TV channel with StarTimes in Africa.

Oui TV is a 24-hour French language channel airing African TV series and movies, including Nollywood content, with around 20 different episodes and six movies airing each day.

The channel is now available in StarTimes’ basic package on DTH and digital-terrestrial TV.

Afrotainment Family of channels senior vice-president of business development Eric Noue said that the company planned further rinternational launches, with channel launches planned in the near future in the US, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.

Afrotainment offers a portfolio of nine channels in the US and Canada – Afro, Afrotainment, Afrotainment Music, Afro Sports, Abo, Oui TV, TV9JA, Haiti HD and Otown Television. The company’s offerings are available on the Dish DTH platform, Optimum Cablevision and Bell in Canada as well as on Roku and Amazon Fire TV, with a launch on Verizon FiOS planned soon.
