The TV streaming stick was the best-selling product globally during Prime Day – a one-day shopping event where Amazon promised “more deals than Black Friday” for Prime members.
In the US alone, members ordered “tens of thousands of Fire TV Sticks in one hour”, making it the fastest-selling deal on an Amazon device ever, according to the e-retail giant.
Overall, Amazon said that worldwide order growth during Prime Day increased 266% over the same day last year and was up 18% on Black Friday 2014.
