Twitch records 21 million unique viewers during E3

Twitch-Home-Screen-RokuTwitch, the Amazon-owned video platform for games enthusiasts, logged more than 21.04 million unique viewers during the E3 videogame conference last month.

Announcing the stats, Twitch said that it logged a peak of 840,000 concurrent viewers – 16 times the number of physical attendees at the E3 conference in Los Angeles.

It also said that 11.99 million hours of E3 content was watched – including eight press conferences and 85 gaming segments featuring 75 upcoming titles.

Twitch, which Amazon agreed to buy for US$970 million (€870 million) in cash last August, was the exclusive broadcasting platform for the E3 show.
