Filmbox channels to launch in Latvia

Latvian operators Lattelecom and Livas have each signed deals to carry Filmbox-branded movie and sport channels. 

Telecom operator Lattelecom will offer FilmBox Baltic as part of its movie package and extreme sports channel Fast&FunBox as part of its sports offering.

Cable operator Livas will offer FilmBox Baltic in its basic digital package and FightBox in the sports package.

“We are very excited to launch our channels in Latvia and bring top entertainment content to movie and sports fans in this country,” said executive director of Filmbox International, Berk Uziyel.

The FilmBox channels are distributed by Filmbox International, a subsidiary of Kino Polska TV whose majority stakeholder is SPI International.

FilmBox Baltic is one of the newest channels in the SPI portfolio, airing a variety of films – including dramas, comedies, thrillers, biographies and horror movies.
