Unitymedia to add Chromecast support for Horizon Go

chromecastLiberty Global-owned German cable operator Unitymedia is due to add more features to its Horizon Go mobile TV service, including Chromecast support.

Unitymedia said that during 2015 it will add Chromecast support, Airplay support and remote recording to the mobile entertainment service, and will premiere these new features at ANGA COM.

At the show, the operator will highlight its next generation Horizon TV and Horizon Go “seamless entertainment” offerings and give information about its product bundle of TV, internet and telephony services.

Unitymedia said it will also introduce WiFi offers for business and residential customers.

During ANGA COM, Unitymedia CEO Lutz Schüler will speak as part of the opening discussion at 11:15 on June 9.

On June 10, Unitymedia management board member Wolf Osthaus will appear on a strategy panel about media law and net neutrality in Germany and the US at 10:00, while senior VP of marketing and product management Christian Hindennach will take part in a discussion about TV everywhere and cloud TV at 14:45 on the same day.

 

Unitymedia will exhibit at ANGA COM in hall 10.2, stand B11.
