The platform provides cloud solutions for handling users, devices, metadata, advertising, big-data support and billing system integration and includes a web-based management console.
AltiPlex CSP is component based, letting operators deploy the entire solution or integrate specific components into their service. These include the dynamic Cloud UI solution for operators to deliver tailored user experiences across both legacy and new set-top boxes, and Cloud DVR for cloud-based recording.
Alticast will also demo its AltiView 1 user experience running on multiple set-top boxes and mobile devices. This UX can be used for presenting and navigating program guides, VoD services and DVR functions. AltiPlex CSP also gives server-side support with a web-based console for AltiView 1 operations and management.
Alticast will also use ANGA to highlight its Alticast Application Framework. This supports multiple hardware platforms, UIs and user agents to give operators the flexibility to use HTML5, Java, Android, RDK and other applications on the same set-top box.
Alticast was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in South Korea with offices in the Netherlands, Poland and Colorado. The firm develops end-to-end, multi-screen solutions to enable service providers to deliver TV everywhere services.
Alticast will exhibit at ANGA in hall 10.1, stand P40.
