Dog TV, a channel designed to entertain dogs that have been left at home alone, has rolled out in Portugal.
The network went live via the operators Nos, Meo and Vodafone last weekend, marking the channel’s second European launch in as many months after its recent expansion into France.
DogTV costs €4.99 per month and the channel claims that that its programmes offer dogs “relaxing and stimulating content as well as positive behavioral reinforcements,” with shows produced in collaboration with vets and pet experts.
DogTV now has a footprint that spans Europe, Asia and the US and last year Discovery Communications invested in, and formed a strategic partnership with, the network. DogTV said at the time that this would accelerate its growth and bring the channel to more regions and territories.
